Reverse description A highly detailed serpent rendered in the traditional Chinese artistic style coils sinuously across the central field, its scales finely engraved, its head raised toward the upper right with a small floral sprig at its mouth. The serpent is superimposed over a rectangular geometric background pattern evoking classical Chinese fretwork. The cyclical calendar characters 癸巳 appear to the lower right of the central design, denoting the year of the Snake in the Chinese sexagenary cycle. The legend 20 GRAMS 999 FINE SILVER curves along the upper rim, and the denomination $2 is inscribed at the lower field, all elements executed in sharp cameo relief against a deeply mirrored proof surface.
