Singapore's lunar series coins were issued by MAS as legal tender but function almost entirely as collectibles — circulation examples are essentially unknown. The Year of the Pig completes the twelve-year cycle that began in the mid-1990s, making 2007 a minor closing landmark for the series before it restarted.
