| Reverse description | A detailed relief of a standing ox, facing right, occupies the central field of the annular sector flan, referencing the Chinese zodiac Year of the Ox. The year '1985' — the corresponding Gregorian year of the Ox cycle — is inscribed in the upper field. The Chinese cyclical year designation '乙丑' appears at lower left, and the denomination '$2' is inscribed at lower right. |

| Additional information |
Singapore's lunar series has been issued annually since 1981, making it one of the longer-running such programs from any Southeast Asian mint. The 2014 Ox issue was struck well after the actual Year of the Ox — which fell in 2009 — placing it within a retrospective sub-series filling gaps in the original run rather than commemorating the current zodiac year.
