Reverse description A goat rendered in high relief stands facing left at centre, set against an intricately engraved background of traditional Chinese cloud and scroll motifs that fill the entire fan-shaped field. The Chinese cyclical year inscription 癸未 appears above the goat in a decorative cartouche, with the Gregorian year 2003 — corresponding to the previous Year of the Goat — inscribed along the upper arc. Two additional goat figures appear in smaller scale within the scrollwork on either side. The denomination $2 is inscribed below the central goat figure.

Additional information

Singapore's Lunar Series coins are issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore primarily for the collector market, with mintages tightly controlled and official figures published at issue. The 2015 Goat falls in the third cycle of Singapore's lunar coinage program, which the MAS has produced consistently since the 1980s — making it one of the longer-running national lunar series in Southeast Asia.
