Reverse description The reverse features a bold, unadorned typographic design with no central pictorial device. The denomination numeral 2 appears prominently in the upper central field, with DOLLARS inscribed in large block letters beneath it, and the date 1865 occupying the lower central area. The surrounding legend, separated from the central design by a beaded inner border, reads TWO HUNDRED CENTS along the upper arc and ONE HUNDRED PENCE along the lower arc, underscoring the tri-currency equivalency concept of this pattern issue. The same decorative loop ornaments seen on the obverse appear at the left and right margins. The outer border is formed by a continuous milled denticular rim.
