| Obverse description | Within an oval flan, a high-relief depiction of the full-length standing figure of Mazu (Ma Zu), the Chinese sea goddess, rendered in the style of a monumental stone statue. The goddess is shown wearing elaborate traditional imperial robes with wave-pattern detailing along the hem and a ceremonial crown upon her head; she holds a ceremonial tablet in her crossed hands. To the right of the figure appears the Fijian coat of arms above the legend 'FIJI' and the date '2023'. Along the right edge, the inscription '1 OZ 999 FINE SILVER' is engraved vertically. The denomination '2 DOLLARS' appears in the lower field. |
