The lion occupies the majority of the field in a highly sculptural, three-dimensional rendering. The circumferential Latin legend, separated by raised dots and a floral rosette, reads CONFIDENS DNO NON MOVETVR, meaning 'He who trusts in the Lord shall not be moved.' A beaded border runs along the inner rim, and the engraver's initials JC appear to the right of the lion, with the Royal Dutch Mint mintmark at the base of the field. |
