| Reverse description | The reverse features a bold, high-relief depiction of the Dutch Lion rampant guardant, facing left with jaws open and tail raised, presented in the tradition of the historic Dutch Leeuwendaalder or Lion Dollar. The lion occupies the majority of the field in a highly sculptural, three-dimensional rendering. The circumferential Latin legend, separated by raised dots and a floral rosette, reads CONFIDENS DNO NON MOVETVR, meaning 'He who trusts in the Lord shall not be moved.' A beaded border runs along the inner rim, and the engraver's initials JC appear to the right of the lion, with the Royal Dutch Mint mintmark at the base of the field. |
