| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II as portrayed at age 77, bare-headed, wearing a necklace and earrings, after the portrait by Susanna Blunt. The legend arcs around the upper field, with the denomination below. A commemorative double date marking '1952' and '2022' flanks the effigy, the two dates separated by four pearls symbolising the four successive royal portraits used on Canadian coinage during the reign of Elizabeth II.
