Beschrijving voorzijde	Blue on light underprint. Central vignette of a sailing ship at upper centre, surrounded by fine guilloche work and scrollwork ornamentation. Text panel bears the promise-to-pay inscription, denomination numerals, date, and black handwritten or printed serial numbers and signatures.

Beschrijving keerzijde	Printed entirely in blue, the reverse is dominated by an elaborate intaglio design centred on a circular vignette of a full-rigged sailing vessel at sea, encircled by the colonial motto banner. Flanking the central medallion are two large symmetrical guilloche rosettes, with dense scrollwork and foliate arabesque borders filling the surrounding field.
