Yoshikitty is a licensed Sanrio character — a hybrid of the Hello Kitty design and Yoshiki Hayashi, the drummer and co-founder of the Japanese visual kei rock band X Japan. Sanrio's collaboration with Yoshiki dates to 2011, and the pairing became sufficiently popular in Japan to eventually warrant this struck-silver collectible issued through Cook Islands' well-worn mechanism of providing legal-tender authority to third-party commemorative programs.
