Opmerkingen

P#CS1 is a souvenir issue, not a circulating banknote — produced by the Central Bank of Belize as a collector piece rather than for use in commerce. The gold foil bonding was a deliberate marketing feature aimed at the philatelic and numismatic trade, a strategy several small Caribbean and Central American central banks pursued in the early 1980s when souvenir currency became a modest but real source of hard currency revenue.

The CS prefix in the Pick reference signals exactly that: commemorative souvenir. These were never intended to pass through cash drawers.
