The portrait is set against a deeply mirrored black proof field. The legend TOKELAU arcs above the effigy and ELIZABETH II curves below it. Beneath the portrait appears the Tokelau coat of arms depicting a traditional eke (container) with a scroll bearing the motto MO TE ATUA in the lower field. The denomination TWO DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower margin. |

The image is rendered with exceptional chromatic fidelity against a polished black field border.
