Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait, depicted crowned with a jewelled diadem, wearing a pearl drop earring and a delicate necklace, her hair elegantly styled. The bust is rendered in high relief with an antiqued finish imparting a rich, matte texture to the field. The circumferential legend reads 'QUEEN ELIZABETH II' at the top and 'NIUE TWO DOLLARS' at the left, with '2oz 999 FINE SILVER' to the right, and the date '2015' appears prominently at the base.

Reverse description A dramatic high-relief scene depicting Moses, a bearded and robed figure in dynamic contrapposto, raising aloft the two stone tablets of the Ten Commandments with his right arm, his flowing garments billowing in the wind against a mountainous background with a lightning bolt descending from the upper field. Surrounding Moses in the lower portion of the field are several prostrate and awe-struck figures representing the Israelites, rendered in varying degrees of relief to convey depth and perspective. The entire composition is executed in a deeply struck antiqued finish, accentuating the sculptural drama of the Biblical scene. The legend 'THE TEN COMMANDMENTS' is inscribed along the upper left arc of the field.
