| Obverse description | The obverse features a large, highly detailed relief portrait of Abraham Lincoln facing slightly right, occupying the right portion of the field, with a semicircular arc of thirteen five-pointed stars encircling the upper field. An inset circular cartouche at the lower left depicts the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II in right-facing profile, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, engraved by Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials IRB appear below the bust.
