Obverse description Rectangular field featuring a subtle halftone dot pattern background evoking vintage comic-book printing. At centre, the right-facing diademed and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, his initials IRB incuse below the truncation. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs above the effigy with NIUE below; the date 2022 and denomination 2 DOLLARS appear beneath, separated by a ruled line. In the lower right corner the inscriptions 1 oz 999 Fine Silver and THE FLASH TM & © DC (s22) are engraved. A stylised curling page-corner element in the lower left evokes the turning of a comic-book page.

Reverse description Full-colour rectangular design faithfully reproducing the cover of DC Comics Showcase No. 4 (October 1956), the landmark issue that introduced the Silver Age Flash. The dominant field is rendered in vivid red and orange, with the word SHOWCASE in bold blue and white lettering across the upper register. At left, a full-length coloured figure of The Flash in his iconic scarlet costume with yellow lightning-bolt accents runs dynamically forward. At centre and right, a large spiralling film-strip rendered in blue and black depicts multiple monochrome action poses of the hero at speed. The DC Comics Originals roundel appears at upper left, with the publication details OCT., 10¢, and NO. 4 in the upper left corner; at upper right the legend In this issue: DETAILS and ENTRY BLANK for GIANT 5000 PRIZE CONTEST! The lower field carries the tagline WHIRLWIND ADVENTURES OF THE FASTEST MAN ALIVE! and the caption Presenting THE FLASH! in hand-lettered script.
