| 表面の説明 | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, depicted wearing the George IV State Diadem, drop earrings, and a pearl necklace, after the portrait by Robert David Mackall whose initials RDM appear below the truncation. The high-relief bust is set against a deeply mirrored proof field. The circumferential legend reads ELIZABETH II to the left and NIUE · TWO DOLLARS to the right, separated by raised pellet stops, with the date 2009 positioned in the lower exergue, all enclosed within a beaded inner border. |

Sergey Lifar left Soviet Ukraine in 1923 as part of a group of young dancers recruited by Diaghilev for the Ballets Russes, never returning to his homeland. He went on to dominate French ballet for decades as director of the Paris Opéra Ballet — a tenure interrupted only by postwar accusations of collaboration with the Nazi occupation, of which he was ultimately cleared. Niue's silver program in this period licensed a broad roster of cultural figures, most with no connection to the island territory itself.
