| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central motif depicting a gold-plated rhyton in the form of a female head facing left, modelled after the celebrated Thracian golden rhyton from the Panagyurishte Treasure (4th–3rd century BC), with elaborate hair and headdress surmounted by a small figurine. The field to the right bears an engraved facsimile of ancient Thracian script on a stone tablet, while a Greek meander (key) pattern frames the entire design as a decorative border. The legend PANAGYURISHTE TREASURE is inscribed in the upper left field. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
The rhyton — a drinking vessel shaped as an animal head or figure — was among the prestige objects exported from ancient Persia and Greece across Central Asia and into the Scythian world. Niue has issued numerous silver rounds under its own authority since the late 1990s, leveraging its status as a New Zealand realm territory with full coin-issuing rights despite a population under 2,000. The arrangement is straightforward: a foreign mint produces the piece, Niue provides the legal tender framework, and the result is a collectible with no circulation history whatsoever.
