| Obverse description | The obverse features a large high-relief portrait bust of Abraham Lincoln facing three-quarters to the right, dominating the right portion of the field, with his name inscribed on a decorative scroll banner at the lower center. An arc of thirteen stars frames the upper and left periphery of the field.
