Beschrijving voorzijde Effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, rendered in a mature portrait with a diadem and visible earring, set within a mirror-polished field. Flanking the effigy on both sides are two large, finely engraved palm or tropical feather fronds, curving inward to frame the portrait in an elegant symmetrical composition. The upper legend reads EASTERN CARIBBEAN CENTRAL BANK, while the lower legend is divided between QUEEN ELIZABETH II at the base and TWO DOLLARS to the right, with 1 OZ .999 SILVER to the left.

Aanvullende informatie

The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank issues currency on behalf of eight member territories — Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Anguilla — none of which have wild flamingo populations. The bird is native to the wider Caribbean and parts of South America, making this a regionalist appeal rather than any specific national symbol.

KM#18.1 is part of a broader ECCB collector series produced for the numismatic export market, not domestic circulation. The .999 silver planchet with applied colorization was almost certainly struck under contract at a European or Canadian facility.
