| Obverse description | The obverse features a bi-metallic-style design with a raised central disc rendered in a gold-toned finish, set within a broader platinum ring field. Within the central disc, the mature effigy of Queen Elizabeth II faces right, as sculpted by Susanna Blunt, her initials SB visible at the truncation; the Queen wears a diadem and pearl necklace. The surrounding platinum ring bears the legend ELIZABETH II to the left and D·G·REGINA to the right, with the purity mark 9995 plat. inscribed along the lower border of the ring. |
