| Beschrijving keerzijde | Full-length figure of Finnish distance runner Paavo Nurmi depicted mid-stride, moving to the right across a stylised athletic track rendered with parallel horizontal lines. In the upper left field, a schematic representation of a stadium structure is visible, flanked by a semicircular arc of five-pointed stars. The inscriptions VIII OLYMPIAD and PARIS 1924 appear in the middle field, divided by the runner's figure, with PAAVO and NURMI in bold lettering below, commemorating his legendary performances at the 1924 Paris Olympic Games. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Paavo Nurmi won nine Olympic gold medals between 1920 and 1928, a record in distance running that stood for decades. Finland issued its own commemoratives honoring him repeatedly — his face appeared on the 10 markka coin from 1971 onward — making this Niuean issue one of many foreign-authority pieces exploiting his image under licensing arrangements that became common among Pacific island minting programs in the 2010s.
At 0.5 grams, the gold content is minimal enough that collector premium vastly outweighs bullion value from the moment of purchase.
