The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank serves eight island territories — Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines — and issues coinage in the name of the collective rather than any single nation. Grenada's particular association with nutmeg runs deep: the island supplied roughly a third of the world's nutmeg through much of the 20th century, and the spice appears on the Grenadian national flag.
This colourised bullion piece is part of a nature-themed collector series rather than a circulation issue.
