| 裏面の説明 | The reverse presents a richly detailed and color-enhanced commemorative composition celebrating the Mutiny on the Bounty of 28 April 1789. At the center of the field, a large high-relief engraving depicts the full-rigged sailing ship HMS Bounty under sail, with the name BOUNTY inscribed on the hull. Flanking the central motif are two lenticular color vignettes: to the left, a painted maritime scene showing the Bounty at sea with figures visible on deck; to the right, a colored scene depicting Captain Bligh and his loyalists adrift in an open launch. The arc legend MUTINY ON THE BOUNTY and the date 28 APRIL 1789 appear at the upper field, while the denomination TWO DOLLARS is engraved in bold relief along the lower border. |
