| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, rendered in the fourth definitive portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, wearing the George IV State Diadem with elaborately detailed floral and foliate ornaments. The Queen's hair is elegantly styled and swept upward beneath the crown, with a pearl drop earring visible at the ear. The legend HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II arcs around the upper periphery, with NIUE positioned to the right, all separated by a raised dot. The engraver's initials IRB appear below the truncation of the bust, and the date 2019 is prominently struck at the base of the field. A fine denticled border frames the entire obverse. |
