| Reverse description | The reverse presents a full-color reproduction of Leonardo da Vinci's celebrated masterpiece, the Mona Lisa (circa 1503–1519), applied to the entire rectangular field of the coin. The subject, a seated half-length female figure with long dark hair and a subtle enigmatic smile, is depicted in three-quarter view against an atmospheric sfumato landscape of winding paths, a river, and distant rocky formations rendered in muted blue-green tones. Her hands are gently folded in the lower foreground, and her dark draped garment contrasts with the warm ochre tones of her skin. The composition faithfully replicates the original oil painting now housed in the Louvre, Paris, and is framed by the same ornate raised decorative border present on the obverse. No legends or inscriptions appear on the reverse. |
