Beschrijving voorzijde Right-facing diademed and draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II, modeled after the fourth definitive effigy by Ian Rank-Broadley, occupies the center of the field against a finely cross-hatched background. The engraver's initials IRB appear beneath the truncation. The legend ELIZABETH II is inscribed along the upper left arc, flanked by raised dots, with NIUE at the top and 2 DOLLARS along the right arc. The date 2014 appears in the lower exergue, similarly flanked by raised dot separators.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse reproduces in full color the devotional panel painting Madonna with Child by the Sienese master Sano di Pietro (1405–1481), faithfully replicating the original gilded Gothic frame carved in one with the panel. The Virgin Mary is depicted in a three-quarter view, her blue mantle draped over a red gown, tenderly supporting the Christ Child who is seated upon her left arm. The image is rendered with exceptional polychrome detail, evoking the tempera technique of the Quattrocento original. The surrounding frame features characteristic Gothic tracery and gilded relief elements consistent with mid-fifteenth-century Sienese craftsmanship.
