Niue has operated as a prolific licensing hub for themed bullion coinage since the 1990s, issuing coins under New Zealand's currency umbrella while contracting designs to outside mints — this piece almost certainly produced by the Polish Mint in Warsaw, which has held the dominant share of Niue's silver program for years.
