Reverse description The reverse presents a richly detailed high-relief scene commemorating King Henry VII, founder of the Tudor dynasty. In the foreground, a three-quarter facing bust of Henry VII is depicted in full plate armour, holding a closed visor helmet under his arm, with long flowing hair framing his face. Behind him, a cavalry and infantry force advances across a hilly battlefield landscape, with a large battle standard bearing heraldic devices carried aloft on a lance. The inscription HENRY VII arcs along the upper left rim, accompanied by the regnal dates 1457-1509 across the upper field. The engraver's signature mark of Willem Vis appears discreetly in the right field.
