| Reverse description | Highly detailed, multi-layered depiction of Isis, the ancient Egyptian goddess, rendered in gold gilding and black oxidation against a frosted silver field. The goddess is shown facing forward in a frontal stance, arms raised and outstretched, wearing an elaborately feathered headdress surmounted by a large cobra-flanked solar disc inset with a genuine mineral gemstone. Her magnificent gilded wings are fully spread and sweep dramatically to either side, detailed with individual feather striations. The lower portion of the figure is draped in a black-tinted pleated skirt, and the background field features engraved celestial motifs including moon phases and astronomical symbols. |
