| Beschrijving voorzijde | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, sculpted by Ian Rank-Broadley after the fourth definitive portrait, occupies the central field. The Queen is depicted wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The encircling legend reads 'ELIZABETH II' to the left and 'NIUE TWO DOLLARS' to the right, with the date '2014' positioned in the lower exergual area. The engraver's initials 'IRB' appear truncated beneath the portrait. A fine dentilated border frames the entire obverse. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Niue's coinage program has functioned since the 1970s primarily as a revenue-generating vehicle for the island territory, whose resident population sits under 2,000. The New Zealand dollar serves as actual circulating currency; coins issued under Niue's name are struck for collector sale, not domestic use.
KM#2202 is one of dozens of thematic silver rounds Niue issued through the New Zealand Mint during this period under licensing arrangements with external design houses.
