| 裏面の説明 | A dramatic, high-relief depiction of Hades, the Greek god of the Underworld, seated upon a dark throne and clad in flowing draped robes, wearing a horned helmet. His left hand rests upon a large crossed human bone, while at his right stands the three-headed hellhound Cerberus, rendered with snarling, open jaws in menacing detail. Flames and runic-style architectural elements fill the background field. The engraver's initials 'TV' are visible in the lower right field, and the name 'HADES' appears as a bold legend along the lower rim. The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark is visible at the left edge. |

Part of Perth Mint's "Mythological Characters" series, this release draws on the Greek chthonic tradition surrounding Hades — lord of the underworld and brother to Zeus and Poseidon following the division of the cosmos after the Titans' defeat. The series was aimed squarely at the collector and investor crossover market that Perth Mint cultivated aggressively throughout the 2010s, producing high-relief, themed two-ounce silver pieces in strictly limited runs.
KM#265 carries a face value of two Australian dollars, a nominal denomination that bears no relationship to intrinsic or secondary market value — a common feature of Perth Mint bullion collectibles issued under Australian legal tender provisions.
