One of dozens of licensed Star Wars releases Niue has issued under its long-running agreement with Disney/Lucasfilm, this piece draws from the First Order infantry introduced in The Force Awakens (2015). Niue's use as a nominally sovereign issuer for collectible bullion is a longstanding arrangement — the island's actual circulating currency is the New Zealand dollar, making these 2-dollar denominations essentially fictitious face values on bullion rounds dressed as legal tender.
KM#5046 places this among a catalogued but sprawling series; die quality and capsule presentation are consistent across the Star Wars sub-issues from this period.
