Obverse lettering NIUE 2011 ELIZABETH II 2 DOLLARS 1 oz 999 Silver
Reverse description The reverse features a vivid full-color printed scene commemorating the first human spacewalk, depicting cosmonaut Alexei Leonov tethered outside the Voskhod 2 spacecraft above the curvature of the Earth, set against a star-filled cosmos with a stylized burst of solar light at center. To the left, a three-dimensional relief rendering of the Voskhod satellite and a second depiction of a spacewalking figure are applied in uncolored silver, contrasting with the surrounding color illustration. A Soviet red flag is shown in the lower left corner alongside the date inscription MARCH 18th 1965 and the bold numeral 1965. The legends CONQUEST OF SPACE and FIRST SPACE WALK appear along the upper edge of the field, while ALEXEI LEONOV is inscribed in the lower right.
