| Aanvullende informatie |
Eidsvoll 1814 refers to the Norwegian constitutional assembly convened that spring, which produced one of the world's oldest written constitutions still in force — drafted in under six weeks while Norway maneuvered for independence between the collapse of Danish rule and Swedish annexation. The constitution was signed on May 17th, a date Norwegians still mark as their national day.
Niue has issued silver pieces commemorating Norwegian history before, typically under licensing arrangements that route collector revenue back through European distributors. KM# 153 places this squarely in that program.
