Reverse description The reverse features the distinctive crossed-arrows shoulder patch of the First Special Service Force, a joint American-Canadian elite unit of World War II popularly known as the Devil's Brigade, rendered prominently in the central field. Flanking the patch are the emblems of the two nations: the American five-pointed star to the left and the Canadian maple leaf to the right. Beneath the central device, two crossed arrows reference the unit's unconventional warfare heritage, with the issue year appearing in the exergue. The denomination ' 2 DOLLARS' is inscribed along the upper rim, while the lower arc bears the unit's designation in both English and French: 'First Special Service Force' and 'Premiere Force de Service Special', along with the country names 'USA' and 'CANADA'.
