Obverse description The obverse features the fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, depicting Her Majesty at approximately 77 years of age, bareheaded, adorned with a necklace and drop earrings, facing right in right profile. The portrait is rendered in a naturalistic style characteristic of the Blunt effigy used on Canadian coinage from 2003 onward.
