背面描述	Three-quarter facing bust of Nicolaus Copernicus turned slightly to the left, with medium-length wavy hair and a simple collared garment, occupying the upper portion of the field. A facsimile of Copernicus's cursive signature in incuse script is rendered prominently in the lower right field beneath the portrait. The engraver's mark ROSS appears at the lower left of the truncation. The design fills the entire flan with a plain inner border and wide rim.
