正面描述 Fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, depicting a mature crowned and draped bust modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials IRB appear below the neck truncation. The circumferential legend reads ELIZABETH II to the upper left and BERMUDA to the upper right, with the date 2010 positioned centrally at the base of the field. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field, characteristic of the Rank-Broadley series used on Commonwealth coinage from 1998 onward.

附加信息

The Cahow — properly the Bermuda Petrel, Pterodroma cahow — was presumed extinct for nearly three centuries after its decimation by early settlers and introduced predators. Its rediscovery in 1951 by naturalist David Wingate, who then dedicated over fifty years to its recovery, became one of the more remarkable conservation stories of the 20th century. The Bermuda Monetary Authority has drawn on that narrative repeatedly for its collector silver program.

Wingate's breeding colony on Nonsuch Island numbered fewer than twenty pairs at its nadir.
