2 Dollars - Elizabeth II Bermuda Bluebird

Bermuda issued a focused series of wildlife-themed silver pieces in the early 2010s, with the Eastern Bluebird chosen partly for its status as the island's official bird and partly for its near-disappearance from Bermuda during the mid-twentieth century due to habitat loss and nest competition from introduced starlings and sparrows. Recovery came largely through a citizen-led nest box programme begun in the 1960s that remains active today.
