Reverse description The aluminium bronze centre depicts two young raccoons clinging to the textured bark of a tree trunk, rendered in fine naturalistic detail by engraver Susan Taylor. The pair are shown in three-quarter view facing one another, their distinctive masked faces and dense fur captured with precise relief work. The nickel ring carries the country name 'CANADA' arcing across the upper field and the denomination '2 DOLLARS' divided across the lower field, with each word positioned to either side.
