| Obverse description | Central field features a selectively gilt three-dimensional abacus inset, its rods and beads rendered in high relief with gold gilding against a gilt circular background, surrounded by a broad border of recessed circular cavities arranged in concentric rows. At the apex, the fourth-generation effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, diademed and draped, faces right after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, with the initials IRB incuse below the truncation. The legend QUEEN ELIZABETH II arcs along the lower border, while 2oz 9999 Ag 2019 appears to the left and 2 DOLLARS TUVALU to the right, all in raised Latin lettering. The antiqued finish imparts a rich patina to the field, contrasting with the gilded central element. |
