Below the central device, the Venus symbol (female sign) is struck in relief at the base of the inner field. The surrounding silver border bears the legend INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY arching across the upper portion, with 8TH MARCH at the lower register flanking the Venus symbol, and the fineness inscriptions 1 oz to the left and 999 SILVER to the right.
