| Obverse description | Sixth effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark, depicting a right-facing crowned bust adorned with the George IV State Diadem and the Victorian Coronation Necklace. The peripheral legend reads ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA, with the denomination 2 DOLLARS, fineness designation 2oz 9999 Ag, and date 2022 distributed around the field. The engraver's initials JC appear below the truncation. The antique finish imparts a rich, textured patina to the relief and fields. |

The lunar calendar series has been a cornerstone of Perth Mint production since 1996, and the Tiger issues carry particular weight in that lineage — the 1998 Series I Tiger remains one of the most aggressively hoarded of the original run, driving secondary market premiums that the Mint clearly noted when planning Series III allocations. The 2022 issue arrived during the final stretch of COVID-era bullion demand, when silver two-ounce antique-finish pieces were moving through authorized distributors faster than stock could be replenished.
The "6th Portrait" designation reflects Jody Clark's effigy of Elizabeth II, introduced in 2015 and the last to be authorized before her death in September 2022.
