Reverse description Two honey bees are depicted alighting upon a stylised sphere whose surface is decorated with a honeycomb pattern of hexagonal cells. Sprigs and blossoms of the golden wattle (Acacia pycnantha), Australia's national floral emblem, frame the central device. The denomination TWO DOLLARS appears along the lower arc, with the inscription HONEY BEE arcing above. The design incorporates coloured pad-printing to render the bees and floral elements in naturalistic hues.
