Surrounding this inner circle is a decorative band of pad-printed rosemary leaves and flowers in naturalistic green and purple tones. The outer zone bears the inscription REMEMBRANCE intertwined with an ornamental wreath of rosemary sprigs, with the denomination TWO DOLLARS and the mint mark C also present in the legend, evoking the Anzac tradition of wearing rosemary in remembrance of fallen servicemen and women.
