| 背面描述 | A red kangaroo (Macropus rufus) depicted standing upright in profile, facing right, with its tail providing balance and its forepaws raised. The design captures the animal in a naturalistic pose with fine detail in the fur and musculature. The inscription 0.5 GRAM 9999 GOLD appears along the lower portion of the field, confirming the coin's bullion specifications. The composition fills the flan with minimal exergual space, maximising the visual presence of the central motif. |

The "Mini Roo" series emerged from Perth Mint's recognition that entry-level gold bullion buyers were being priced out of even fractional one-tenth ounce pieces. At half a gram, this is among the smallest gold bullion coins produced by any major sovereign mint, and the .9999 fineness — four nines — was a deliberate commercial differentiator from the traditional .9990 standard that Perth had used on earlier kangaroo issues.
KM#2072 corresponds to the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy, the fourth portrait of Elizabeth II adopted by Australian coinage from 1999.
