正面描述 Right-of-centre portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in tiara, set against a light green guilloche underprint with geometric tapa-cloth patterned borders. The Fiji coat of arms appears at upper right, and a Kaka parrot vignette is positioned at lower left with the bird's name inscribed below it. The central numeral '2' is rendered in large intaglio print, with the issuing authority inscription 'RESERVE BANK OF FIJI' and the Governor's signature below.

备注

The P#96 series was the last Fijian issue to carry the 2-dollar denomination before the Reserve Bank retired it from circulation entirely. Fiji's 2-dollar note had a long run dating back to the early 1970s, but by the time this printing closed out in 2002, the denomination was considered economically redundant alongside the 2-dollar coin introduced in 1995 — the note and coin circulated simultaneously for years before the paper version was quietly phased out.

Thomas De La Rue printed the entire run, consistent with Fiji's post-independence arrangements.
