Opmerkingen

New Zealand decimalized on 10 July 1967, replacing the pound at a rate of two dollars to one pound. This 2 Dollar note entered circulation on that date as part of the inaugural decimal series — all printed by De La Rue before the switchover and held in reserve for the changeover weekend, a logistical operation that required years of advance planning and public education campaigns run by the Reserve Bank.

Four different signature combinations appear across the series' fourteen-year run, reflecting successive Governors and their deputies. The Hardie signature is the latest and scarcest of the four.
