| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse features the coat of arms of the Republic of Palau at center, depicting a traditional Palauan figure flanked by marine imagery within a shield, surrounded by a ring of stars. The legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper periphery, with RAINBOW'S END inscribed on a scroll below the shield and the denomination 2$ appearing beneath it. An open book with radiating beams of light emanates from the lower field, symbolizing the Biblical scriptures. The legend BIBLICAL STORIES is inscribed in bold relief along the lower rim, completing the thematic framework of the series. |

Palau has operated a prolific commemorative coin program since the 1990s, licensing its sovereign mint authority to produce collectibles largely marketed to European and Asian collector markets — this piece never circulated in Palau and was never intended to. The "Creation of the World" series drew on religious iconography to target Catholic collector demographics, a calculated commercial decision rather than any expression of national identity for a country whose own currency in daily use is the U.S. dollar.
